Featured Wood Gallery and Museum
Visitors love our new Gallery which is very spacious and showcases a wide variety of craft and furniture pieces made on the premises or by local artisans.
There is also a range of art work in different mediums by artists from the region. Tourists love the small unique craft items to take home and remind them of this magnificent part of Australia.
Tables – Small & Large; TV Cabinets; Bed Heads; Wine Racks; CD/DVD Racks; Mirrors; Clocks. We make furniture to suit customers’ requirements. We use locally sourced jarrah, marri, sheoak and other varieties of timber.
The Museum (which gets a WOW on entry) focuses on Australian and American History.
There are larger than life displays on Ned Kelly, Gallipoli, Woodworking, Local Aboriginals, American Indians, the Bunbury Jetty and the US Civil War.

There is a great number of products to buy and a variety of woods are used in the making of these items, you are sure to find something to please you.
The museum has taken John over thirty years to finalise and you can see the love he has put into it and he is willing to tell the story of its construction and his involvement in it . Do yourself a favour and put an hour aside and go visit you won’t be disappointed.

Went here specifically looking for woodworking ideas and souvenirs, all of which we found but the real surprise was when the proprietor John took us through a door into a... read more museum of mainly American civil war paraphernalia, which John has collected and turned into a truly interesting museum gallery with clever dioramas. John is, rightly, proud of the work ( still in progress and changing) and keenly showed us around with lots of stories to accompany the various scenes.
In the woodwork gallery we found a couple of nice items for presents and then John was able to sell me a couple of jarrah slabs from his wood yard next to the gallery. I brought these back to Melbourne on top of the land cruise and am turning them in to tables right now.
So, a successful shopping trip, a successful slab purchase and a great history lesson. What more could you ask for?

The Gallery was superb and the art around the outside of the building was very entertaining. The small cost of $5.00 for the Museum was worth every penny. I definitely recommend any Caravan Club and individuals to visit when you are in the area.

As if that... read more wasn’t enough. There were more treasures to be found in the museum. The owner was so kind and enthusiastic in showing and teaching us through the history of the many wars fought. The collection in the museum is impressive to say the least. A collection which took over decades. A must visit for anyone interested in military history. We really felt like we stepped into a different time era being in the museum and the hospitality and passion for his work the owner shared was just so genuine and awesome to see.
